Stephanie Armstrong is the owner of All Creatures Boarding Kennel. Stephanie grew up on a farm in Minnesota where she was surrounded by animals of all kinds right from the beginning. Her interest in animals prompted her to pursue a career as a zookeeper. She graduated from college with an Associate of Science degree in Zoo Animal Technology and immediately got hired at the San Antonio Zoo in the Bird Department where she worked for 5 years before the city life got to her and she decided to switch jobs. She then went on to travel the country accepting short term positions as a Field Researcher, working for various government agencies such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Forest Service, studying birds in the wild. After doing that for 2 1/2 years, she decided she better get a more permanent job again, and chose to get back into zookeeping. She promptly got hired at the world famous San Diego Zoo, where she worked for 3 years, until the city got to her again, and she and her husband moved out to the country and came up with a grand idea to open a boarding kennel at their home, so that she can still take care of animals, which is her real passion. While the kennel and her clientele were building, Steph also worked at a local Vet Clinic for 7 years, gaining experience and knowledge of the proper care of cats and dogs. She's practically got a zoo of her own now, with 3 dogs, 6 cats, an Emu, ducks, chickens, a sugar glider, a rabbit, 3 ferrets, a Bearded Dragon, and 2 parakeets! Oh, and 2 kids LOL
